Dori Mirthmore is an American psychic, medium, philosopher, and mathematician. She hosts presentations and teaches classes on a variety of metaphysical topics including sacred geometry, remote viewing, and psychometry. A lifelong learner, Dori has studied at the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp and the International Association of Metaphysics. Dori regularly posts written and video content to her website DoriMirthmore.com and on YouTube under the moniker ‘Mirthmatics‘.
Early Life
Dori was born in New York City in the early 1990’s to Puerto Rican parents. She spent most of her young life studying mathematics and physical sciences. She also enjoyed tinkering with the software and hardware of her Gateway PC, and playing games like Mario Teaches Typing and The Sims. Dori and her family relocated to Florida after her freshman year of high school.
Education
Dori attended the University of Central Florida, graduating in 2016 with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her studies were focused on Physical Sciences and Social Sciences, including Chemistry, Astronomy, Forensic Sciences, Anthropology, and various Sociology courses including Sociology of Murder and Criminology. Her studies were supplemented by a minor in Criminal Justice and a Certificate in Crime Scene Investigation. This laid the foundation for her laboratory career.
Dori has also studied Archaeological Field Techniques at the Blackfriary Archaeological Field School in Trim, Ireland in 2016.
Professional Career
Laboratory
Dori began her professional career while still enrolled at UCF as a soil prep intern at an environmental laboratory. After graduating in 2016, she became a laboratory analyst in the laboratory’s volatiles department, conducting purge and trap analysis utilizing a Gas Chromatograph with a PID/FID detector on soil and water samples. As she became more experienced, she took on additional analyses requiring more complex detectors, including the Mass Spectrometer.
In 2022, Dori transitioned to a Cannabis Laboratory taking on a Senior Project Manager role where she worked alongside the management team to implement and improve processes including a LIMS integrated inventory management system and creating Lab Phorms, a web platform for electronic sample intake. Dori was recognized by WomELLE magazine as one of the Top 10 female leaders of 2024 for her innovation. The experience gained from creating Lab Phorms led to many other personal and freelance web projects for various clients.
Real Estate
Shortly after beginning her laboratory career in 2016, she became a licensed Real Estate agent and practiced residential Real Estate part-time. She became a licensed real estate broker in October of 2024, founding Capstone Agent Alliance, a Broker of Record service that empowers licensed real estate agents to operate under their own brand.
Notable Hypotheses
As someone who bridges the worlds of science, metaphysics, and personal exploration, Dori has developed a number of unconventional hypotheses that reflect her curiosity about the deeper structures of reality.
In this hypothesis, Dori proposes that the reality we experience is not strictly three-dimensional, but instead exists in a fractional dimension between the third and fourth, much like a fractal. Just as fractals have non-integer dimensions (like 2.5 or 3.1), our lived reality may be a continuously unfolding expression of higher-dimensional structures compressed into a fractional state.
This would explain phenomena like:
Infinite complexity in finite space (as seen in the Mandelbrot Set)
Nonlinear cause and effect, like synchronicities
Anomalous experiences such as remote viewing, déjà vu, and lucid dreams
